The National Institute of Oceanography and Applied – OGS, is an Italian public research institution under the supervision of the Italian Ministry of University and Research. It specializes in conducting research in the fields of earth science and oceanography on an international level.
Its expertise is applied in the field of earth, sea and polar sciences to contribute to the dissemination of scientific knowledge and to solve environmental, economic and social problems.

The mission of the National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) is to leverage all fields of sciences to tackle current global challenges. CNRS role is to identify and conduct, alone or with its partners, research that is in the interest of science as well as the technological, social, and cultural advancement of the country.

CMCC Foundation is an international, independent research center studying climate change's interaction with society. It combines climate modeling, impact analysis, and environmental economics to deliver rigorous scientific insight supporting sustainable growth and evidence-based adaptation and mitigation policies worldwide.

IHE Delft Institute for Water Education is the world’s largest graduate water education facility. Specializing in education, research and capacity development in water, our mission is to contribute to the advancement of sustainable water resource management, especially in developing countries. The Leibniz Institute for Baltic Sea Research Warnemünde (IOW) is a non-university institute that covers all core disciplines of marine research. Its research programme is directed towards coastal and marginal seas with a special focus on the Baltic Sea ecosystem. The IOW is divided into five departments: Physical Oceanography, Marine Chemistry, Biological Oceanography, Marine Geosciences and Marine Observations. About 250 people are employed at IOW, thereof 150 researchers.

Founded in 1975, METU IMS is one of Türkiye's leading marine research institutions with strong international recognition. The Institute offers graduate education in Oceanography, Marine Biology and Fisheries, and Marine Geology and Geophysics. It conducts interdisciplinary research spanning the blue economy, climate change, marine biodiversity, marine pollution, fisheries, polar and deep-sea research, conservation genetics, and Digital Twin Ocean technologies.
